The objective was to produce guidelines for establishing a technical basis for a Natura 2000 Management Plan based on already gathered facts and valid legal regulations, and a comparison with good practice in neighbouring Austria, combining knowledge on the importance of nature conservation and different cultivation methods in order to preserve the habitats of rare animal and plant species.
It was also to renew ecologically important habitats while keeping the inhabitants informed, contributing to improved public knowledge and awareness, which should stimulate the public to make use of natural resources and raw materials for their products in their additional gainful activities.
