Yellow Lady Slipper (Cypripedium calceolus)<span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial"> </span>

The Yellow Lady Slipper prefers half-shade places on calcareous soils in lighter forests, partly in floodplains or near small streams throughout Europe.

Main reasons for the decline have been the afforestation and the scrub encroachment of the typical habitats. The Green Belt provides characteristic conditions and connects the scattered habitats.
