Schaalsee landscape in northern Germany, formed during the Ice Age, is a soft hilly landscape with clear lakes, deep fens, well-structured forests and an intact cultural landscape and many rare and endangered species, like crane and osprey, otter and fen orchid.
The aim of this project, funded by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation, is to preserve this intact landscape, to optimise the management and to remove impairments.
