The extraordinary landscape of Dobratsch, influenced by enormous landslips has been dissected by the highway A2. Main aim of the Life project is to establish a migration corridor between the disconnected parts. One of the first measures was land purchase and the construction of a wildlife crossing, the so called 'bear-tunnel' to facilitate the migration of the Brown Bear from the shady side of the Karavanke mountains to the sunny Dobratsch slopes in spring.
