Arnica Forest School programs

By means of the Interreg-project 'Green Belt' teachers had a professional training at the Hungarian- Austrian Green Belt for lessons relating both to nature protection, biology, environmental education, and to history (First European Meeting of Forest School Teachers in Sopron, Hungary, Meeting of Hungarian Forest Pedagogues in Sopron, Hungary). Guided excursions for schoolchildren were prepared (Arnica Forest school for children from the age of 4 to 18 in Sopron, Hungary) to facilitate the understanding of the history of the 'Iron curtain' and the reasons for and ways to protect this area (local, partly endangered species and proper land management).
In summer guided tours are taken by the Arnica Forest School (named Vineyards in the World Heritage) for visitors to show the historical vineyards on the slopes to the lake Ferto, near the border.
